Reus Airport Transfers

Getting from Reus airport to ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ via bus, train or taxi

By Staff Writer

Advice on continuing your journey to ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ from Reus airport. And back again…

What’s this? You’ve landed in Spain, only the airport looks suspiciously small and the taxi driver for Mr. Easy Lee-Confused is nowhere to be seen? The reason that you can’t see the sea already is because you’re not in ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥Â at all, and – probably certainly because you selected some cheap Ryanair flights – you have touched down at Reus Airport instead!

Actually there’s no need to panic. The city of Reus is not only beautiful in its own right, in case you did want to stop off for a few hours (it’s also the birth place of one Antoni Gaudi no less!) but it is just 90km, or 1.5 hours away, from ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ by bus, coach or taxi. Not only that but all manner of private airport transfer operators will happily whisk you into town too, so there should be no need to bed down on those stone benches just outside the airport building! Scroll down for more info on getting from Reus to ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ below, but for now a few facts about the aeropuerto

Thanks to the rise of cheap flights, and in particular the wiley ways of Ryanair, Reus Airport now sees almost 2 million passengers pass through its gates each year. Other carriers include Jet2, Thompson, Thomas Cook, Monarch all mainly offering seasonal flights from UK and Irish destinations, such as London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Cardiff. As well as a gateway to ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ many passengers arrive to visit the nearby coastal resorts of Salou, Cambrils and Tarragona as well Spain’s largest theme park, Port Aventura.

Getting from Reus Airport to ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥

By Bus/Coach

Regular (albeit not quite as clockwork) buses run between Reus Airport and ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Sants Station, courtesy of private company La Hispano Igualadina. As mentioned journey time is approx. 1.5 hours and the price of a ticket is 13 euros one-way. The buses from the airport are timed to meet flight arrivals, and similarly on the way in from ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ they are timed to meet your departing flights. However there are one or two nasty holes in the timetable so check first on their website –  – otherwise you could be lumped with a very expensive taxi fare! (Although, time permitting, you could try and get the train from ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ to either Reus or Tarragona – Sants train station is right next door to Sants bus station – and then take a taxi from there to the airport. Both will be considerably cheaper than a taxi all the way from BCN). Tickets can be brought on the bus at Reus Airport, but for the return journey get to Sants Bus Station 10 or 15 minutes early, as you will need to queue up in the little office and buy one from the front desk. To get to Sants Station itself you can take the Green Line (L3) or the Blue Line (L5) on the metro.

By Taxi

The taxi fare from Reus to ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ is pretty hefty at around 170-200 euros! Although not too bad if you are a group of three or four, and they are readily available from the rank just outside the airport building.

Private Transfer

Private transfers can be a bit cheaper and more comfortable than grabbing a cab (at least you know the price in advance!). We’re just shopping around for a good provider so check back and we’ll find someone reliable and affordable to recommend!

By Train

It’s no problem to travel from the ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Sants Train Station (which is right next to Sants Bus Station) to Reus Train Station or vice versa, however the journey time is still 1.5 hours and then you have to get from the train station to the airport or the other way round… so you’re just adding an unnecessary leg to your journey! Also, bizarrely the holes in the bus timetable seem to be mirrored by holes in the train timetable (must be siesta!), so if you do find you’ve missed your bus your best bet is to take the train to Tarragona where you can get a relatively cheap taxi (25-30 euros) to Reus airport.
